I illustrated two Percy products a while ago which have just been released to coincide with the Royal Birth. Percy, Penny and their 4 little ones are now together in one bag!

This has to be one of my favourite Percy Pig briefs so far. Marks and Spencer asked me to create a series of images for the Percy Pig Facebook page to celebrate Valentines Day. Followers were asked to choose between different date and gift options. These were the winners.

has some New Friends!

Percy has 2 new friends for the New Year. Marks and Spencer asked me recently if I would come up with a tiger and panda character in keeping with the Percy style. They introduced the characters on Facebook this week and asked Percy's Facebook followers to choose names for the 2 characters. I have to admit I would have preferred Terry for the tiger. I was a big fan of Terry Hall and The Specials in my Youth!

It never ceases to amaze me where Percy pops up! I recently spotted him in this great fashion shoot.

21 this year!

It is 21 years this year since Percy Pig first appeared in M&S stores. I created the Percy Pig character as we know him now about 18 years ago and have continued to illustrate him ever since. I can't believe how he has grown!

New illustrations for a Facebook Poll

Marks and Spencer are producing a new Percy and Penny heart shaped sweet later this year.

For Valentines 2013 Percy Pig Fans were asked on Percy's Facebook Page to choose the new flavour. The winner was Strawberry Fields.

I've been working on a few Percy illustrations recently-all currently under my wooly hat!

The Countdown has begun!!!

The first door on our Percy Pig Advent Calendar was opened at 6 am this morning. The early start was made slightly less painful by hearing my youngest say 'Percy Pig is my favourite!'

Marks and Spencer have created a new soft version of my original Percy character. Percy's features haven't changed since I first sketched him around 17 years ago. I am really pleased at how he has turned out. It seems that a lot of Percy Pig's Facebook followers are keen to get their hands on him too!
I have illustrated a couple of other new Percy Pig products which are launching anytime now-Percy's Pig Sty and a Percy Pig Advent calendar for Christmas 2012. Photos to follow soon.

New Percy Pig Illustrations

I always start a new Percy Pig design with a rough sketch. I have been illustrating Percy for over seventeen years now so I feel that drawing him is almost like using my own handwriting.

Once we have agreed on the layout/content of the image I redraw the sketch on layout with a Pentel Sign Pen. M&S then use this line drawing to create the final computer artwork.

New Percy Pig Bus

I have been waiting to see this latest Percy Pig artwork in print ever since I illustrated it over the summer. I was really excited to get the brief as I have a bit of a soft spot for these old London Buses. I haven't spotted the Percy Bus in stores yet but I spotted the 159 in the November issue of Good Housekeeping yesterday in the Christmas Present ideas. Sorry to mention the C word!!

I recently produced a couple of new Percy Pig artworks. The first for Percy Juice in M&S stores now. I like Percy best like this - simple and graphic. The other artwork is for a Christmas product-got to keep that one under my hat for now.

Percy Pig Hits the Headlines Again!

I spotted this latest Percy Pig product in M&S stores a few weeks back and didn't think too much of it. I first illustrated the Percy Pig bag about 15 years ago and it is still the same today. I have since created a Percy Pig style guide with M&S and the Percy Pig images I created have been used on homewares, food packaging and in a book. I just didn't realise until today (thanks Mrs Cheese) what a storm the launch of the Percy Pig Lolly had created on Twitter!

Britain's Wimbledon hopeful Andy Murray I have discovered is also a Percy fan!

I first illustrated Percy Pig about 15 years ago. For Christmas 2010 Percy is appearing on a whole variety of products including these special edition sweets.

Marks and Spencer plc was my first client as an illustrator and Percy Pig was one of my first projects. I am amazed after all these years at how popular the sweets have become. Percy even made a guest appearance on the catwalk at London Fashion Week!
